At 12 p.m. the signing of the agreement took place between Vetrina Toscana – the project of the Region of Tuscany that combines territorial wine and food and attention to the environment – and the National Association of Wine Cities. The agreement was signed by the two directors, Francesco Tapinassi and Paolo Corbini, in the presence of the Regional Councillor for the Economy and Tourism of Tuscany Leonardo Marras and the president of the association Angelo Radica.
The signing is an integral part of the TPT strategy of working closely with all organisations and associations involved in food and quality of life, as demonstrated by previous agreements with Slow Food Tuscany and the National Association of Oil Cities.
At the heart of the agreement is the definition of a programme of activities for the promotion of wine-producing areas, focusing on culture, landscape, agri-food traditions and the environment. In addition, joint initiatives will be identified to promote knowledge of wine and the places where it is produced and marketed, which will also make it possible to limit the phenomenon of depopulation of rural and inland areas.
More specifically, the programme of initiatives refers to the following areas:
Creating an innovative model of synergy between rural development policies and regional tourism promotion, placing the Vetrina Toscana project at the centre. This is the main goal of the collaboration agreement signed by Toscana Promozione Turistica and the Local Action Groups (Gruppi di Azione Locale – GAL) of Tuscany, supported by ANCI, the National Association...
