Starting on October 16 2025 in Monteriggioni, at Osteria dell’Abate, followed by another five events celebrating flavour and tradition.

Six evenings built on tradition and taste, among the villages of the Province of Siena, the DOC and DOCG wines of the area, the “Ricciarelli” and “Panforte” PGI products of Siena, as well as the warmth of local hospitality.

The autumn programme is finally making its return, inviting us to discover new recipes, wine and food pairings, and new experiences. This is: “Tra Borghi e Cantine, Where tradition meets taste”.

The first event takes place on October 16 2025 in Monteriggioni, at Osteria dell’Abate. This evening will be followed by five more experiences, always on Thursdays at 8.30 p.m. until November 27 2025. We will visit Rapolano, Bettolle, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, and Montalcino.

The event is promoted by Confcommercio Siena in collaboration with Vetrina Toscana and the Chamber of Commerce Arezzo Siena. Also included in the programme are Fisar Valdelsa Delegation, Fisar Valdichiana Delegation, the Ricasoli Secondary School of Siena, and the Artusi Hotel School of Chianciano.

The tastings also mark the return of the competition: at each evening, a panel of experts will be invited to vote. The participant with the highest score will receive an award at Wine&Siena 2026. For those attending dinner at the various events, there will again be the chance to visit the wineries whose wines feature on the menus or to take advantage of special discounts.

“Restaurants are the places where history, traditions and the territory meet to offer a sensory journey through the territory of Siena,” says Elena Lapadula, head of Cat Confcommercio Siena and organiser of the event. “We continue to bring together the history of the villages and restaurateurs, nature, flavours and wine for a truly complete experience. The restaurateurs share their art, creativity and commitment to promoting tradition, creating new flavours and tastes. A special thanks goes to the restaurateurs, who in turn select the wineries for the wine pairings, to Fisar, whose sommeliers will serve the wine, and to the two schools, ISS Ricasoli and Artusi, with the students taking part in the various evenings. A special thanks also to Coripanf and to the companies participating in the “La Dolce Strada Trova l’Igp” project, showcasing their PGI specialities: “Ricciarelli” and “Panforte di Siena”. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that authentic Ricciarelli and Panforte di Siena are only those bearing the PGI trademark.”
