It has stirred curiosity, and generated excitement and now the first commercial for the PDO Lunigiana Honey, the first of the (new) Eco-Productions, is now online. Fabio Venè and Marco Cavallotti, respectively the President and the Director of the Consortium for the Protection of the PDO, declare: «We are happy because even before the publication of the video, Lunigiana has come together around this product: it is as if it had really responded to our invitation. The invitation was (and is) to become ambassadors of the PDO Lunigiana honey, the first PDO honey in Italy and still the only Tuscan PDO honey, the flagship of a shared journey, both productive and agricultural».
«In the 72-second advertisement, we wanted to tell the story of the strong link with the territory and the whole process. From the beehives to the packaging, before reaching the public, currently in the traditional acacia and chestnut varieties, online, via producers, points of sale, as well as the large-scale distribution and retail networks».
The video, initially broadcast via the web and social media of the Eco della Lunigiana and the Consortium, is just one of the revitalisation measures implemented in such an important year: the 20th anniversary year of the PDO certification.
«What we asked, from the “new” Eco team, was to create an effective, impactful, and refreshing message. Something we could use to develop our online presence, something we could actually spread everywhere».

The video is an Eco Production for the Consortium for the Protection of the PDO Lunigiana Honey with filming and editing by Jacopo Grassi and a team effort that involved Francesca Fontana in communication and coordination; Diego Remaggi in media management; and Simone Ricciardi in voice, as an actor and radio speaker.
«The decision to rely on local professionals is part of the process we are undertaking: it responds to the desire to collaborate more and better with Lunigiana, the area of origin and our “first playground”.»
To conclude, the Consortium is now working to make the value of the PDO Lunigiana Honey known to as many people as possible.
