Farmers in Toscana: the network of farmers in the Southern Tuscany District

The partnership between Tuscan agricultural producers for the growth of the territories of Arezzo, Grosseto, Livorno, and Siena is a reality.

“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, working together is success,” said Henry Ford. A vision that the Farmers of Tuscany, the 22 partners of Filiere in Rete, the network created within the Rural District of Southern Tuscany, have embraced. Together, they have launched a common path for the growth of the territories in the provinces of Arezzo, Grosseto, Livorno, and Siena

The area of southern Tuscany expresses important agri-food realities that, if strategically integrated with the processing and marketing-promotion system, could greatly contribute to local growth in economic, social, and cultural terms, multiplying the benefits of agriculture. In fact, we are talking about an area of 8152 square kilometres in Tuscany whose production represents an important percentage of the agricultural production of the Region.

A richness expressed by the Farmers in Tuscany project, which offers a basket of premium products: from DOCG Morellino di Scansano, Tuscan DOC Maremma wines, Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello, Chianti Classico, IGT Toscana, DOP Tuscan Pecorino, DOP and IGP Tuscan extra virgin olive oil, to top quality cereals, beans and fruit, preserved foods, cereals, many of which are grown organically.
