VECCHIA FIRENZE

This restaurant is in a building which dates back to the fourteenth century and which, throughout history, has been home to many well-known families such as the Pazzi, Frescobaldi, Giucciardini and Albizzi families. Vasari ironically called it “dei Visacci” (“of the ugly faces”) because of the bas relief statues carved on its facade which represent a series of illustrious Florentine men. The restaurant today serves traditional Tuscan food with an assortment of creative first course dishes, char grilled meat including the house speciality: bistecca fiorentina (Florentine steak). The wine list is constantly being updated and and includes wines of the highest quality.

Takes place with dinner every Saturday and Sunday evening.
