La Cecca

Restaurant located in the countryside, just 4 km from Lucca. It’s named after Francesca Baldassari, the grandmother of the current managers who, in the ’40s, began the family business with a small grocery store that sold everything.

Much frequented by people coming from nearby Lucca by bike, it slowly became an osteria with excellent cold cuts and chicken in spicy sauce, eaten by customers during hours spent playing cards.

Today, after some careful renovating, the restaurant retains the characteristics of old. In summer, you can dine in the beautiful garden with its original pergola. Traditional reinterpreted dishes, high quality raw materials and ingredients from the owners’ garden. The wine list has a respectable selection of spirits in combination with Tuscan cigars.
